Education is the key to achieving many other SDGs. Giving people access to a quality education enables them to break from the cycle of poverty, reduce inequalities and empower people everywhere to live more healthy and sustainable lives.
ICCA’s capacity building efforts promote awareness and knowledge of chemical hazards, managing the risks associated with manufacturing and use of chemicals and developing the necessary national infrastructure and capacities for regulatory and voluntary approaches on chemicals management.
ICCA shares best practices and information about chemical safety and conducts trainings to enhance environmental, health, safety and security practices throughout the value chain.
Since 2006, ICCA has worked with partners to host over 220 chemicals management capacity building projects in over 46 countries.
ICCA’s developments include a set of innovative tools and materials designed to help educate the workforce and help countries implement best practices into their own risk-based, national chemical safety legislation.
