International Council Of Chemical Associations Launches New Responsible Care Self-Assessment Tool

Tool aims to promote continual improvement in environmental health, safety and security performance for practitioners across the world.

 

BONN, Germany, 26 September 2023 – Today, the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) announced the launch of a new resource for members and Responsible Care® practitioners. Practiced in nearly 70 economies across the globe, Responsible Care drives continuous improvement in safety and sustainability and helps organizations understand and prioritize risk and advance sound chemicals management.

The new Responsible Care Self-Assessment Tool supports implementation of the six elements of the Responsible Care Global Charter by participating companies, providing practical guidance to help them enhance their safety and sustainability performance. The tool also links Responsible Care’s core programmatic elements to leading international standards and goals, like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and ISO14001.The tool is accessible via a web-based platform and offers a single, practical resource for chemical companies of all sizes and in any region.
