Tuesday at ICCM4: Join ICCA for a Side Event on Supply Chain Partnerships and Chemicals Management
On Tuesday, September 29, the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) will host a side event illustrating the importance of supply chain partnerships in creating a future where chemicals can be produced and used sustainably.
The session, “Supply Chain Partnerships for Sustainable Chemicals Management,” will include a light lunch for attendees beginning at 12:45 PM (CET), before opening at 1:15 PM with a keynote presentation by Rick Fedrizzi, CEO and founding chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). A panel discussion moderated by Greg Bond, Manitou View Consulting LLC principal and former corporate director of product responsibility for Dow Chemical, will follow, featuring perspectives from chemical companies and downstream industry leaders, including:
- Ronald Bock, EMEA Environmental Risk Manager, The Chemours Company
- Giorgia Lera, Research and Development, Lafer SpA
- Kiyoto Furuta, Senior General Manager, Global Environment Center, Canon Inc.
“Supply Chain Partnerships for Sustainable Chemicals Management” will feature discussions on the benefits of risk-based rather than hazard-based approaches to studying and regulating chemicals, the need for transparent communication and safe chemicals management along the supply chain, and the benefits sustainable chemistry solutions bring to communities across the globe. Following the discussion, panelists will answer questions from the audience, and ICCA representatives will be available for media interviews at the event’s conclusion.
