The Latin America Regulatory Cooperation Forum (LARCF) promotes the design and implementation of consistent, economically efficient and scientifically-based regulatory systems for chemical management in Latin American countries.
LARCF, an initiative of LATAM chemical associations, brings together more than 100 industry members of the region. The Forum Works in virtual basis and it is supported by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA).
It was established to promote the design and implementation of consistent, economically efficient and scientifically-based regulatory systems for chemicals management in Latin American countries.
VISION AND OBJECTIVES: Improve cooperation among Latin America’s associations, governments and the industrial sector; Information sharing on regulatory developments ; Provide capacity building for governments and industry in Latin America; Establishment of a clear vision and roadmap for regulatory cooperation and implementation of chemical management schemes by governments in Latin America.

Virtual Working Group for the Sound Management of Chemicals in Latin America
This VWG aims to promote the sound management of industrial chemicals (SMIC) and to strengthen regulatory cooperation by reaching a common understanding on the concepts related to the SMIC, in line with the provisions of international conventions and agreements. . It consists of LATAM chemical associations and government representatives, more than 50 members from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. Among the capacity-building activities supported by ICCA, a series of webinars (GHS, Multilateral Environmental Agreements, Economic Instruments, Roadmap) open to participants from all sectors (government, industry, civil society, academia, others) have been conducted in 2020/2021.
